view of heart rhythms
Our Holter analysts are trained in analyzing recordings of pets (dogs and cats). A Holter recording, 24 – 72 hours, is used to analyze rhythm and conduction disturbances. This maps the electrical conductivity of the heart of the dog and the cat (similar to humans).
Veterinarians apply a pet Holter if there are complaints that indicate that the heart is functioning less or differently. Holters are also taken from puppies to exclude premature congenital heart defects.
